Colorado Springs' Signature Drive
The Cheyenne Mountain Loop is the perfect half-day supercar drive when you want maximum visual impact with minimal time commitment. Wrapping around the iconic mountain that defines Colorado Springs' southwestern skyline, this mostly paved route passes through Cheyenne Mountain State Park, past the Broadmoor resort, and climbs into the foothills with sweeping views of the city and the plains beyond. Start and finish downtown in under two hours.
The Route
Downtown Colorado Springs → Broadmoor → Cheyenne Mountain State Park → Gold Camp Road connector → return — ~25 miles, 1–2 hours
Start: Downtown Colorado Springs
Head south on Nevada Ave through the Old Colorado City neighborhood. This historic strip of galleries and restaurants sets the mood before you hit the mountain.
The Broadmoor (Mile 5)
Circle past the iconic Broadmoor resort — one of America's great luxury hotels, set at the base of Cheyenne Mountain with a private lake. The approach road lined with mature trees is a supercar photo opportunity.
Cheyenne Mountain State Park (Miles 6–12)
The park road winds along the mountain's southern face with views south across Fort Carson and the plains to Pueblo. Pull into any overlook — city views from here are exceptional at golden hour.
High Drive / Gold Camp Road Connector (Miles 12–18)
For a wilder version of the loop, connect to High Drive — a narrow paved road that climbs the mountain's western face with sheer drops and granite outcroppings. Links directly to Gold Camp Road for an extended adventure.
Return: Mesa Road (Miles 18–25)
Drop back down via Mesa Road through the old-money neighborhoods on the west side of the city. The mansions and tree-lined streets make a fitting end to a mountain circuit.
